A little tutorial!

Good Afternoon!

I'm back with a card and a little tutorial today!

We were at Whichcraft yesterday at the Doncaster Dome & I was inspired to use only a couple of stamps to make a larger topper image!
Here's the card I've made from the topper I created:

The stamps I've used are:

The swirl from our Shoe stamp set
and
The bauble from the Christmas Owl stamp set.

First off, I stamped two of the swirls side by side, matching up the ends. (For both the card & this tutorial I've used Gathered Twigs distress ink)

I then stamped baubles from the swirl garland:

I've used promarkers to colour in the baubles and add red dots to the swirls like berries:

And finally filled in with green dots for some more colour!

Then, as you can see on the card above, I've distressed the entire rectangular topper with Gathered Twigs distress ink!

I hope you like it!

See you again soon,

Hayley xx

A big update!

Hello!

I just want to apologise for the lack of posting on the blog. Everytime I post a huge update I think to myself that it'd be much better to post a card per day... and guess what? that never happens! (One day I'll be a great blogger... I hope!)

First off, we had a bundle of new releases a couple of weeks ago which included 5 themed stamp sets.

Here are a few cards made with them:

Carol made this stunning mini exploding box over the weekend and it was snapped up by the Simply Homemade editor for a feature!

It has been made with resized images from the Christmas Extravaganza CD

We've had lots of requests for a template/how-to video of this so here you go: a free template!

Hope you enjoy playing and do let us see what you make!

Have a wonderful day,

New Baby Girl

Today i have a card to share that i have made for Dreamees as part of my dt duties :)
Dreamees have just launched some fabulous new sets of stamps in every occassion you can think of. I decided to use the Baby Set and make everything pink pink pink!
Here is the front...

and here is the side view...
So for this card as you know i used the Baby Stamp Set, the sentiment also comes on this set too. The papers are from the latest cdrom Out Of The Ordinary from the pink section. I even paper pierced the baby carriage to match. I added tiny pink buttons to the wheels and add its a girl ribbon & tied into a bow. The corner die is by Joycrafts and i added glitter to the flowers. I also added a bit of cheesecloth behind the main image for a bit of texture.

Hope you like my creation for today :)
