Beautiful Butterflies....

Hello lovelies Nicola here today with a card I have made using the beautiful Silhouette Butterfly Stamp Set

I wanted to colour this in using my new Spectrum Noir pens. Now my card was a bit of an experiment as I wanted to create a coloured background using my Spectrums to see what result I would get.

I decided to keep the card fairly simple so I made an A5 tent fold card blank. I stamped the images as shown using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I have then coloured the background and butterflies in shades of: Yellows - CT2 ~ CT4 ~ GB5 ~OR1 Pale Hues: FS2 ~ FS3 ~ FS6 ~ PP1

I used Distress Ink Vintage Photo around the edges of the card. I then cut three of the butterflies wings using my craft knife so they raised up slightly.

I finally embellished them with a gem and stickles glitter glue in Diamond and Fruit Punch, finishing with the ribbon at the top.

 

As I said before the colouring is an experiment with my new pens, but I also wanted to show how lovely this stamp set is.

Some new cards!

I have been designing the new website and CD all weekend and I can let you know, I managed to finish them both!
I'm now waiting on a server transfer which could send the website down for a couple of days. We're hoping it should be quick, though the may-day weekend could set us back another few days.
It would be up now but obviously Easter got the better of us.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, by the way!

Here are some creations we've made today.
We've been working on a new stamp too, which is just a leaf. It will retail at £1.00 and is great for embellishing with roses and punched flowers!
I must say, I've grown to love it!

This is my beautiful puppy Rosie.
We're getting another Cockapoo puppy on Saturday who is going to be called Fender.
Yes, I know, you probably don't like that name.
Trust me, I'm used to everyone saying that.
But it's come from the Fender guitar, if you haven't already made the connection.
As you can tell, Rosie won't sit still or stop barking long enough for us to get a good picture!
